We headed from Colorado into Utah but stayed with the Colorado River for a visit to the beautiful Arches National Park. We thought we had better get some wholesome fun in before we hit Vegas! After singing 'Utah Saints U, U, U Utah Saints' in the car 3 million times, we arrived. It was like another world. Huge red cliffs and strangely shaped sandstone towers and arches. We were pressed for time so couldn't stay as long as we would have liked, but saw some amazing scenery in the short time we were there. Unfortunately we only saw the famous Delicate Arch from a distance. But it looked amazing. It was super hot too and realy busy, considering it is really in the middle of nowhere. The photos really speak for themselves so check them out.
We then headed off on our long drive towards Vegas. We didn't quite make it but stayed about 100 miles out. We arrived at a crappy motel pretty late and managed to sneak in for the last order at an all American diner. This was the real deal and no chain rubbish. We ate brisket with biscuits and gravy and a burger then headed for some shut eye.
At super early doors we ventured into the desert again on our way to Sin City.
