Arrived on time on Monday evening and was met by Finn, Scrine and Dane.Took about half an hour finding the car, airport car park was too big and they couldn't remember what level they were parked on or whereabouts! Got back to the guy's flat, an utter tip, and had a shower and went out to get a cab into town. Spent 40 minutes in the cab in what should have been a 5 minute journey because the cab driver didn't have a clue where he was going! but got there eventually and went round someone's house to meet up with slug and the other gappy Rob who is from UCS in London and seems like a nice guy! On Tuesday i decided to tackle the sitting room and did all the washing up etc, but they don't have any tea towels so couldn't do the drying up but at least it was a bit tidier and they all appreciated it... i'm yet to tackle the bathroom, but i think i'll leave that to them! There has been talk of going to Brisbane on Friday for schoolies and then carrying on up the gold coast to Cairns in a campervan...then on the 15th December I might be going on a 5 day trip from Sydney to Byron Bay with Slug suzi finn and rob which will basically be a trip when we learn how to surf i think...so that should be fun if it happens! Missing home obviously, don't think i'll last the full 8 months, so might be back for Rosie and Dave's wedding, but we'll see how it all goes! Am going into town with Edd Justin and Cookie today to get a new sim card and phone and also to buy tea towels and look at some apartments...see what we can get for our money! Though i think i'll probably just travel for the first part of the time i have here and work later on for a bit...anyway, must go have a shower etc and meet up with the guys! i'll let you know if i move on from melbourne and when i should be back etc! lots of love, Tish x x
