Well it's almost time to start my long awaited tour in my little Bedford Bambi Campervan.
When I found out I was to be made redundant from my job after 22 years, I started to think, am I brave enough to do something different? Take a year off? Just enjoy it? After all, the young ones seem to these days, calling it a gap year. Firstly, I bottled it! I applied and acquired a new job, for a year, just wasn't for me, and deep down knew what I wanted to do.
Hmmm, I've always wanted to your the coast of Scotland and Ireland. The latter I have done at speed, well, 2 weeks anyway.... I would like to go back for a month. Scotland? Hardly seen much, few visits to Edinburgh and a few days near Oban is the total of my travelling there. Edinburgh mainly for Fish gigs (ex-Marillion front man).
Anyway, I'm getting side-tracked there... Monday the 15th starts my tour, loosely coastal, open to change of mind and with a flexible itinerary! Eek! Am I mad? Probably!
