Stayed at Whitby holiday park on the sea front last night. Lovely weather but a little windy.
My old dog Jack enjoyed the evening. We walked along the coast to the Abbey, which could be seen from the campsite. A couple in a VW Campervan, the iconic T2 that I nearly bought, came over and gave Jack half a pork chop! He loved it! Met done one from Birmingham who used to have a Bambi too... Small world.
This morning had a wander around Whitby, resisted buying a Whitby jet necklace, then we travelled up the coast stopping at Runswick Bay and Staithes. Both really pretty fishing villages with plenty of charm. Think I preferred Staithes. Very like Robin hoods bay, but seemed even more quaint. Just had to stop at a lovely little cafe so I could sit out and have a cream scone! My fave
