We are still alive!!!

Since we spoke to you last we've been on our Whitsundays sailing adventure- this was amazing. We spent two nights/3 days sailings and sleeping on one of the worlds most famous sailing boats. The boat was very cramped, with a mattress and a hammock style bed areas. Sailing was scary at times as the boat tipped to like a 45 degree angle- we were holding on for dear life! Food was good and we visited the most amazing beach - Whitehaven - photo above.....

After sailing we spent a night at the Long Island resort- this was nice...we could actualy shower!! Had a relaxing night after sailing.

Following on from Long Island we travelled to a Country Homestead near a town called Rockhampton - here we stayed on a traditional cattle farm, drove on a tractor trailer, people had a go using whips and we had the best roast beef ever. Had a good dance in the barn in the evening...plus karaoke!!

Next day we left the Homestead and travelled to Childers (a little town) had dinner and bought constumes for a fancy dress party..we had to dress up in something that began with the first letter of our names..we will add pictures soon and you can try and work out what we went as.

Travelled to Harvey Bay to catch our boat to Fraser Island (Fraser is the largest sand island in the world). Arrived on the island last night and had our fancy dress party- quite a good night!

Today we were up early for our half-day tour of the island- this involved travelling in 4WD vehicles up and down sand hills, visited Lake Mckenzie which is stunning and then we got to walk through the rainforest....which was fun..... Back at resort now- going to have a lazy afternoon, sorry if this is a bit brief- internet costs a bomb.

Tomorrow we are off to Surfers Paradise, a flight in a Tiger Moth plane awaits with the odd loop the loop! Open cock-pit!!! Will try and update pictures soon.
