Did a tour (7 hours) to Sigtuna, led by Ava, visited the local church, the church ruins, saw rune stones and had spare time to wander the lake and the small town. Very cute little town. Moved on to Wenngarden for lunch. Smorgasbord of meat, cheese, quiche etc. Spent half the lunch break walking around the square, looking at newly renovated buildings. The 3 kids singing "Free Falling" at lunch were great. We applauded them and they had huge grins and bowed. Late...

After hotel breakfast bought tickets for the hop on/hop off bus at Central station. Checked out of the hotel and left our suitcases there. Took the bus to the Historical Museum. Now I dont want to understate this, this place is MAGNIFICENT. Best museum ever, well presented, very interesting, loved it. Vikings, prehistoric, swedish history and the gold room. Slept well and after breakfast we are now on Djurgården at the Vasa Museum. Lots of photos and now coffee and cake in the outdoor cafe there. Loved the Vasa Museum, the 17th century ship, the film showing its recovery, it excellent details displayed at various levels around it. After the Vasa we went to the Nordic Museum. Not really what I expected. After 2-3 hours there we had a quick look in the foyer of the Abba Museum, then went to Skansen. In SKansen too...

Another beautiful hotel breakfast at the Kong Frederick, catching the train to Stockholm today. Some random thoughts, Copenhagen is a beautiful friendly city, very proud displays of its royal family, its everywhere, the hotels, the china, every tourist attraction, apparently the oldest royal family in Europe.
