YES!! the belarussian embassy let us have our visas so thank goodness we could get on our train to vienna. We arrived early in the morning, after an easy trip from moscow which took us to Blatislava, where we spent a few hours before catching a short train ride into Vienna, our lovely host Pat was waiting to meet us at the station and promptly took us to her apartment where she fed us bacon & eggs and we had hot showers!! and washed our clothes (in a real was...

just a really short blog just to let you know we are back in moscow!!!!! arrived safely after a great trip back along the trans-siberian, we thought we would be bored but not at all, we met another great group of people and the scenery was so completely different it wasnt like going through the same places at all.... we only have couple of days in moscow and assuming the belarussians let us have a visa tomorrow we are off to vienna tomorrow evening (15th) arriv...

Just a short one today, we are off tomorrow morning back on the train so no more info or pics for a little while. we should be in vienna on the 17th May so watch out for new pics then. Well we're back in Beijing, we could become tour guides feel like we know this city very well now. this is our 3rd stay here and we feel right at home. Our trip to Lhasa was interesting... 1st class train travel in china means you get a cabin with 4 berths but cos there are only 2 of us you have to share!!!!! which we didnt quite realise silly dillys.... guess who nearly ended up sharing with 3 smelly chinese spitting and clearing their throats every 5 minutes? y...
