Hello all,

Well yesterday was a sleepy day in Surin city - there's not a lot here but that suits us right now. I got up and wandered the streets looking for wifi and Claire caught up on some sleep.

Later in the day we were about to eat the cereal we bought last weekend and left her but the ants had beaten us to it (there are ants everywhere and some of them are quite vicious). So we ventured out to the supermarket to by some more provisions.

After that we watched some episodes of big bang theory on the net and then nathan (one of the guys staying in our shared house) went and bought a bicycle pump so five of us ventured out on four bikes. I got to sit on the kiddy seat at the back ( a lot more unnerving than I realised). The other guys had been doing child care in surin city so they took us on a quick tour to surin plaza the main shopping centre. It's about the size in shops in chatham so pretty small - although it does have Surin's second KFC and a pizza place! The top floor is a cinema but they don't play any movies in english so we left after a short tour and went to Surin's night market which was full of the usual combination of lovely and rancid smells.

On the whole a nice day of doing nothing. Although I can see why the people based here think the novelty wears off pretty quickly.
