Hello from the land of oz,

We arrived here on the 22nd very very early in the morning after a 3 hour delay in singapore airport. . . after starting our run up to take off we came to a screeching halt - apparently a warning light to do with our streeing controll came on and we had to go and have it fixed . . . unfortunately on our way back to the stand another plane broke down in front of us. . .then the tow truck that came to get it broke the tow pin, so then we had to wait for a 2nd tow truck . . . 1 1/2 hours later we got back to the stand to get fixed!

I was and still am feeling a little fragile after my visit to hospital so unfortunately i could not make the most of the large piece of cheese cake we were given at dinner time. poo.

The flight was 7 hours and we had lots of films to choose from so the time passed quickly. we landed and were out of the airport by 05:40am. we jumped in a cab to get to Roz and Ian's house in Woolongaba. Roz is mum's cousin. we crashed out to catch up on some sleep then went out for dinner together for a catch up.

Today we caught the bus into the city, we went to a small illustration exhibition and had a wander round the shops and the south bank. unfortunately it rained hard in the afternoon so we caught the bus back home to dry off. apparently later 10:00pm ish we are going to get the sea food for christmas day. The sea food shop is open for 40 hours over the pre christmas period to cope with the demand!

Hopefully we will be able to blog on Christmas day to tell you all what it is like - seen as though we will be getting it 10 hours before you!
