Ok it's been another frantic day of sightseeing. Not even time for lunch but I think we've seen most of what Phnom Penh has to offer.
We started the day by going to the S21 prison. An old school that was converted into an interrogation centre and now a museum. Pretty sobering but fairly informative, lots of photos of people staring at you. Amazing to think this was going about the same time I was born.
From there we went onto the killing fields which was one of three hundred (I think if I remember rightly) but now its got a huge stupa and a memorial to the dead along with an audio tour explaining the horrors that occurred. It explains the history of what happened and why - although I still find it hard to believe that enough people thought Pol Pot had a good idea.
So after that we moved to a lighter tone of building. The royal palace and the national history museum. Showing building inspired by and statues taken from Angkor Wat. Both well worth a look, especially as a lot of the temples at Angkor are crumbling because they are made from sand stone, in the museum however they are better preserved.
Now we are back from a mad eight hours; chilling before our 15 hours on a bus tomorrow.

Steve Taylor Sounds really interesting. Glad you found something other than rice to eat however in Cambodia I would politely decline any offers of hot dogs!!
