After being confused by the clocks going forward over night we got up and moved hostels to a slightly better and busier area of town. We were given a leaflet advertising free walking tours of the city. We had just missed one and the leaflet showed you the route it took so we decided to just do the tour ourselves. It was really hot and we were both regretting our decision not to wear shorts! We saw lots of things in the city, but Santiago isn't really that exciting!
After around 3 hours of walking we headed back to the hostel and checked into our rooms. We arranged to meet the Irish girls for dinner and drinks and after showering we headed out to meet them. In the end there was going to be a long wait for a table for us at the restaurant and it was quite pricey so Browny and I decided to go to one we had spotted earlier in the day and met the girls after for some drinks. We both had a salad - the first of our whole trip which was a welcome change! We met the girls back at their restaurant, they had brought along an Argentinian guy from their hostel who wherever we went was getting clapped for being the only guy in a large group of girls!
