Arriving in Uyuni around 730 we began looking around all the tour operators for a tour of the salt flats. We were recommended a couple of companies but none of these had availability for today and were all quite pricey! We settled in the end for a company that offered us the same tour for around half the price with the only difference being we only had a Spanish guide.

We set of in our four wheel drive and our driver immediately put me in charge of music, he was loving some of the latest chart tunes I was playing! Our first stop was the train graveyard. This was where there was loads of old abandoned trains, after climbing on a few and taking some photos we were off to the salt flats. These were incredible and it was so amazing how they just seem to suddenly appear! They go on for miles and miles and after lunch in a salt hotel in the middle of the flats we had fun taking pictures playing with the lack of perspective!

After we went to the cactus island where they had thousands of giant cactuses in the middle of the salt flats! It was very bizarre but cool! Some of them were around 3 or 4 times our height!

It was then time to head to our hostel. This was on the edge of the flats and was made from salt! It was pretty cool and despite everyone telling us how cold it was we were pretty warm in our room!
