Arriving into Buenos Aires at about lunch time we headed straight for the hostel. We got our room and after a bit of a chill we decided to go for dinner at a restyrant recommended to us by lots of travellers. There was a deal between 7 and 8 where you get 40% off the bill and we were advised to get there around 20 minutes early as there is usually a queue to get a table! Not anticipating how big BA is and how far the restyrant was from the hostel we were pushing it to get in. We made a run for it and after finally getting on the metro in the right direction we were on our way. We were still on the metro at the time we were told to be there and so Rob decided when we got to the other end he would run to get in the queue for us which was around 12 blocks away!
As soon as we got off he made a run for it and browny and I had a nice power walk to the restaurant! We arrived to Rob sitting at the table munching on some bread and the rest of the restaurant wasn't looking too busy! Within the next 10 minutes it had filled right up though and so we were glad we arrived when we did!
Rob and Browny ordered steak with blue cheese and I went for the chicken with smoked cheese. It's fair to say the portions were definitely shareable and the blue cheese on top of their steaks was pretty much a whole slab! The food was really good but the waiters were keen to get us out the door at 8 to allow the full paying customers to take their seats!
Back to the hostel and down to the bar where we sampled some of the cocktail concoctions on offer before heading over to the other hostel in the chain for a bit of a dance!
