Lake Benanee 8:00am - Mildura (fuel) - Quarantine SA - Renmark (shopping) - Burra Creek Gorge 2:45pm
6 ¾ hrs / 429 kms
We had a sleep in this morning and woke up at 7am to a -2 degree day. We quickly got up to get ready and when I went outside I saw a beautiful sunrise of all pinks. We then realised that Roger couldn't find the car or caravan keys. After searching through the car and caravan he finally found them in a cupboard. We then didn't get away till 8am.
We stopped at a rest stop around 10am for brekkie and then got stopped at quarantine in SA for the caravan to get checked. I forgot that I had 3 onions in the fridge as SA is no fruit or vegetables. So i gave the man my onions and we were on our way.
We have crossed 3 states today. We started in Euston (NSW) then Mildura (VIC) and now SA.
We stopped in Renmark to get some groceries as we only had small kms to do today. The rest of the time was spent driving as we wanted to stop for lunch but there was no rest stops until we were nearly at Burra so we decided to keep driving and we found our way to Burra Creek Gorge. There is no water in the creek but lot's of huge trees that the kids played on an in. We had a relaxing afternoon and Rog lit our first campfire which the kids loved. We had atlantic salmon with vegetables on the BBQ for dinner and ate outside again. The sun is setting after 6pm so lot's of play time outside. We were the only ones camped here tonight.
We have seen emus, kangaroos, sheep, goats, birds
