Today started off entertaining by taking the kids fishing where we are camped. They were both very excited and unfortunately we spent more time untangling their rods then the kids spent fishing! The kids had fun and keep asking about going fishing again, so that is the main thing.
There was a man trying to catch yabbies so he showed the kids his trap and let them hold some shrimp which he caught in the trap.
We left the campsite around 9:30am and drove to St George where we refuelled and continued driving past cattle and cotton fields. We also saw lots of kangaroo's and emu's.
We stopped for lunch in Nindigully which is a very small town with a pub and 3 houses. We had lunch by the river and then went to the pub to use the toilet but ended up staying for over an hour as the pub is great. It has a really large beer garden with a great kids playground. Rog and I enjoyed an alcoholic beverage while the kids played with a boy they met. We were talking to one of the staff members and they were setting up for a cystic fibrosis rally which was stopping at the pub this afternoon. They were having a live band, yabbie races and a tv crew. I really wanted to stay the night and join in the festivities as the kids were having a great time but unfortunately Rog wanted to keep driving.
So sadly we continued driving and crossed the QLD/NSW border into Mungindi. We then continued our drive arriving in Moree around 4pm. We are staying at the showground so we just lazed around in the caravan and had an egg salad for dinner.

Margery Hi Guys, I haven't kept up for ages but have loved reading about your trip. Can't believe you will be home in a couple of days. The photo with this blog is absolutely fantastic. I would definitely get a decent sized copy of it framed. We saw the family on voting day, Peter couldn't resist going to Rhodes to vote, and everyone was there. Look forward to hearing more. Love Margery, and Peter
