we are here now in Phnom Penh. we had a pretty easy day with boarder crossings. the bus ride was a bit long, but it was nice to ride through the country side for a bit. we left HCMC at around 8 am and arrived here at about 5pm. we are staying at a nice guesthouse on the lake, and had a good first night. a few beers and some reaaly nice curry, also met some people who knew friends of ours queenstown (small world)!!!!

well i think it may be off to some pretty terrible sights tomorrow. S-21 and the Killing Fields. we have bought several books about the Khmer Rouge as well, so it will be intense to say the least.

Cambodia is good so far. there is a lot of poverty, a stark contrast from Vietnam, yet only hours apart. but the people here are lovely and we cant wait to see more!
