We got up this morning and decided that we would skip going back into Tucson. We originally thought we'd like to go to the Sonora Desert Museum but when I found out it was filled with animals and not chocolate I was disappointed. Actually, we are planning on going to the San Diego Zoo and one zoo adventure is probably enough on this journey. One place that we noticed while driving back and forth up and down the highway was Cogburns Ostrich farm. I looked it up and people seemed to enjoy it. It was not far from where we were so we drove down to give it a try. We had an absolute blast. Mira got to feed Ostrich's, Goats, Deer and Donkeys all from her hand. She absolutely loved it and was grinning from ear to ear all day. I laughed particularly hard when I bent down to pick up some food that Mira had dropped and an Ostrich bit me right on the ah…"Donkey." Mira had us laughing all day and it was really neat when she kept pointing at the Ostrich feet and saying dinosaur. Ostriches' are descendants of dinosaurs and if you looked at their feet you would have to agree they look like dinosaur feet. After feeding these animals we entered the Lorikeet Aviary. Lorikeets have been described as "monkeys with wings" and I would have to agree. The second Mira walked into the cage a bird landed right on her head. She was a little confused but did not seem to mind. There were several birds that used her head as a perch and we got some great pictures and video. They say that if a Lorikeet poops on you it means a wish is going to come true…I am happy to report that none of us are having any wishes fulfilled today. We had some stuff to do in town and we needed to find internet access to find a new RV Park. We ended up in Casa Grande which seemed like a really nice place. It probably seemed nice because it was 23 degrees. We ended up having to buy Wifi at starbucks "free wifi" hotspot and found a list of RV Parks in Phoenix. There are probably 55+ RV parks in Phoenix and 54 of them are 55+. Have I lost you yet?The one place that we found that was not 55+ is pretty expensive considering there is no laundry, cable, or WiFi but the lot is level, and there are some big trees and if you like airplanes this is the place to be, right in the flight path of the airport. At least we can grab a shower and maybe go for a swim in the morning…
