Hi Everyone,

Where to begin!!

Last few days have been pretty hectic but it has been brill here in Rio. Been up to Sugar loaf mountain great views of all the beaches in Rio, involved getting 2 cable cars which Louise wasnt too sure about as all glass & very high but def worth it when you get to the top. The Christ statue also had fab views of Rio, it is massive & you can see it almost everywhere in Rio.

The football on Wednesday night at the Macarena stadium was utter madness but absolutely fantastic every one who comes to Rio has to go to a game. It was a local derby game so the atmosphere was electric with smoke bombs, flags & massive drums beening played constantly. The side we were supporting lost though 4 -1, the crowd were not impressed.

There has been plenty of lying on beaches in the sunshine, Matt has played football on the beach with some locals, didnt show himself too badly, set up 2 goals so he was happy. The beaches are beautiful and seem to go on for miles. It is so hot though cant lie out for too long, not that we are complaining.

The new hostel we are in Copacabana is great, have met some great people, it has a roof top terrace with bar & hottub!!!!! Suffering today we had a few too many caprihanas (local drink) last night & went to some crazy nightclub, it was a big old house & rammed full but was a quality night .

We have loved Rio & are sad to leave going into the Panatal tomorrow, 21 hour bus trip. Argh!!!
