As we boarded our bus, and waved goodbye to our new favourite city, I think we were both a little sad to leave. However, we were headed for Malysia, and for new adventures, and would be sure to visit Singapore again in the near future anyway.
The journey to Melaka, a town between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, took four hours, and before we knew it, we had crashed into our beds at the hostel we had checked into.
The following morning, we began to explore the historical town. There are countless museums here, but we only paid a visit to one - The People's Museum, which housed an array of kites from around the world, (random), and had a floor dedicated to 'Enduring Beauty'. This was actually quite interesting, and showed pictoral images and described how different cultures around the world endure pain to 'enhance' their beauty. Whilst in the vicinity, we also climbed the steep steps up to St Paul's Church, and to admire the views below us, before taking a stroll along the river. Other than museums, there's little to do here, but all the same, it acted as a nice stopover inbetween two cities.
We were to catch our bus the following day at 3, so to occupy ourselves in the morning, we booked onto a bike tour around the city. It obviously wasn't meant to be however, as when we woke that morning, the rains came, and there was a relentless thunderstorm.
