LPT travel
Zamora today. An hour bus ride from Salamanca.
Unexpectedly nice town. One thing about it is the numerous Romanesque churches. At least I can now sort of identify a Romannesque church.
Catheral was special. Helped when Lee Kuen managed to get free passes for both of us through her press pass. But I don't think the catheral was Romanesque. It was way too grand.
Found out too late that everything closes between 2pm to 5:30pm. The castle and rivermills are free entry but it was enough for me to view from outside. Lunch of chorizo, biscuits and apples we bought from Carrefour next to the castle gardens overlooking the castle was priceless.
Worth going all the way there.
