Touching down in Kuala Lumpur for the second time was a nice feeling. We had planned a lot for our second visit here. It all started with arriving at our amazing air bnb. The room itself had two double beds and a huge bath...then we discovered it had a rooftop pool with the view of the city and towers. We had a quick change around and as soon as we had collected the keys and dropped off our bags we went out for drinks and dinner with Vanessa, a friend who I had made during my first ever visit to Cambodia. It was a lovely catch up and suddenly it all felt like a very small world. Tom and I ended the night with a late night dip in the fantastic pool overlooking the sky line.
The following day we went for brunch, then to an up and coming art street called Kwai Chai Hong. As we approached, lanterns hung from telephone wires. The art we saw was painted on the walls and was extremely intricate, with paintings of local life, some of which were interactive. After this, due to great visibility due to the lack of clouds, we decided to get tickets to go up the famous Petronas towers. As our flight wasn't until 11pm we spent the rest of our time shopping, browsing and eating... a perfect last day.
So this was it, the time had come, the time to go home. What an unforgettable six weeks we've had full of surprises, laughter, discovery and exploration... and we are coming home engaged! This trip I will never forgot.
Over and out until our next big adventure.
