Day 2
Father's Day today - the girls all gave Andy their present from school and Kindy, which he loved.
Then we set out from the Threeways Roadhouse at around 8.30am heading for Katherine.
Our first stop was Elliott for fuel - it was an eye opener and the girls were less than impressed with the servo toilets. But soon perked up when Andy bought them some chips and lollipops.
We then continued on to Dunmurra where we had lunch. The girls were very excited when a random buffalo walked across the highway to the servo looking for his lunch.
And then had an afternoon pitstop just outside Mataranka - again toilets were disgusting. I refused to enter and the oldest two girls came running after the smell hit them. The little two decided to brave it.
We then made it to Katherine at around 4.30pm. We are staying at a lovely caravan park called Shady Point Tourist Park. It is very shady and the facilities are very good.
After unpacking, Andy and the girls had a swim but it was freezing and Torah braved it for the longest.
