HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!!hope you all had a fantastic New Year celebrating the beginning of 2009. Wow it's crazy to think another year has passed already and a new year is just beginning. Next thing you know it, it'll be 2010!Anyways I am leaving Paris (Au Revoir Paris) and heading back to Denmark to get ready to go back to Ollerup. We start again in 2 days. Holidays are over and it's back to school. So my week in Paris has been amazing mainly due to the great friends I was with. Great friends from Perth, I really do love them. Went to see the sights of Paris including the Eiffel Tower (which I climbed and then took the lift to the top), Arc de Triumph, Lourve (saw the Mona Lisa), Moulin Rouge (too much boobage for me), Notre Dame, Disneyland and much more. There were so many people here considering it is Winter right now and it's bloody cold! I guess everyone is on holidays at the moment. But I completely froze in this weather, I wore like 7 layers of clothing and I was still cold! It averaged at about 1C and then sometimes the wind would pick up so then it felt even colder! I'm definitely missing Perths weather right now; sun, heat, beach, snags on the barbie, singlet and thongs... ahhh Summer. I feel so fat with all these layers of clothing on and it restricts my movement so I look like an idiot when I'm doing stuff. I had an awesome New Years. Went to the Eiffel Tower with a bottle of champagne and party goods and the best friends ever. There were a lot of people out all celebrating on the streets and having a good time. The atmosphere was just awesome, with a little bit (not much at all) of fireworks and the changing colours of the Eiffel Tower. It was a great night. Marie, Kris and I even created our acro version of the Eiffel Tower and did our first handstand of 2009. Good fun times. So how would I summarise Paris? A very busy and touristy city (at this time of the year), with too many long lines (which equals a lot of waiting around), bloody FREEZING, beautiful big buildings and architecture, not romantic, friendly people (except for the tourists who are mostly rude), fashionable, COLD, expensive, pretty lights, baguette, mmmm yummo banana and nutella crepes, oh and did I mention it's really cold?It was very sad to depart with my Perth friends. I had such a good time with them, it was like I never left Perth and we were just catching up! I want to thank Chris, Marie, Kris, Nathan and Jason for an awesome time in Paris. I had so much fun with you and will definitely miss you all. Love you guys long time ;) and see you sometime in the near future. To everyone else, wishing you all the best for this 2009 year. May it be successful, prosperous and filled with lots of happiness and don't forget to follow your dreams.
I'm just about to board my flight to Copenhagen (via Frankfurt) so must sign off now. Take care xoxo
