We had an early start, showered and packed. We said goodbye to the kids which was kinda hard as Jono was upset about the computer.
We dropped the car back at the hire place and Darren dropped us at the airport. On the way he said that by moving country, youre not just saying goodbye to family once - but often, and that's what makes it hard. :(
Our flight to Cairns was delayed 40 mins and was filled with screaming children and had seats that made you fall forward they were so upright - but it was ok!
We weren't fed so Garth really struggled and got a migraine :(.
We got our free shuttle to the car hire place and picked up our AUTOMATIC car!!! I defo prefer manual but it's fun and a different experience! We stopped at McDs (:( ) so fill Garths tummy then I drove an hour north to Port Douglas, which was beautiful! It is much warmer and more humid. The jungly/rainforest, green mountains and winding coastline with empty, beautiful beaches in every bay was amazing!
I checked into our hostel and got Garth in bed. We are sharing a 6 bed room with two oriental guys - I just pray they don't snore!! I got all the nags in and went for a drive. I went up to the view point which was a fab view and did a grocery shop.
