I'm ashamed to say I left writing this blog a week late and can't quite remember everything...
However, we drove down to the sunshine coast. It was a lovely day and we stopped at a viewpoint where we ate a cold sausage sandwich before walking up a mountain on a very flat rock face to the highest point for miles. There was a steep drop one side where locals were climbing and abseiling. But you could see for miles and was a lovely view!
We arrived in Noosa which was a lovely area, very clean with lots of trees. We checked into the flashpackers which was very new and modern and took their free shuttle to the beach as we didn't want to loose our parking space. The beach was just beautiful. Had squeaky fine sand, but there were proper swimming and surfing and enjoying the beach. It felt safe even though people were still in sting suits. We walked right along the beach and took the next shuttle back.
Back at the hostel at 4pm we signed up to the all you can eat dominos pizza night for $8 each. We enjoyed free wifi and watched a few films in the social area. The pizza was very filling and a much needed treat! We stated up late while everyone around us played drinking games. I managed to watch the film 'australia' on the TV whilst Garth had an in depth discussion with some fellow travellers in the next room.
We shared a room with two other guys who were noisy going to bed but otherwise fine. This hostel was good because each bed had its own light and power point.
