Another early start of 6am. We had to sit outside the kitchen until 6.30 when they unlocked it so we could get our food!

We basically spent 12 hours driving from Arlie Beach to Hervey Bay. We stopped at a few petrol stops to top up and swap drivers. We stopped for 45 mins at McDs in Rockingham for lunch were we also got some Internet. The weather was warm, but had a number of heavy rain showers that became more frequent the further south we got. I get the feeling we didn't miss a lot on our if drive and after speaking to our roomies last night they also jumped from Hervey Bay up to Arlie Beach in the Grey Hound nigh bus, so I think my plan has gone well so far. It was a bit sad driving through Gladstone knowing we were missing seeing Brian (although we wouldn't have been the best company today!).

We arrived in Hervey Bay at 6.30 and it was dark so have no idea what it's like here! The free Internet was almost non-existent as was over used but the kitchen was clean. We missed free cheese and wine nigh but watched Kick Ass in the cinema room after some fiddling around with the aspect ratio.

Today we drove 900km with no accidents, no arguments and no fatigue. Pretty good going if you ask me!
