In einer Wanderbroschüre, die im Haus aufliegt, entdecke ich einen Rundgang an der Küste unweit von hier. Wir fahren, unterbrochen von einem Einkaufshalt im „Super Value", zu einem Parkplatz am Ufer. Für den Küstenweg ist es uns, obwohl es nicht kalt ist, zu windig, deshalb spazieren wir auf dem Mangati Walkway durch das kleine, grüne Flusstälchen hinauf, das mitten durch den Ort führt. In dieser Senke haben wir Windschutz. Da und dort sind Wohnhäuser in Sicht, und leider ist der Weg meist betoniert oder geteert. Bis zum Ende des Weges an einer Strasse in einem Industriegebiet sind wir rund 45 Minuten unterwegs; zurück brauchen wir ebenso viel Zeit. Sehenswert sind ein paar Blumen, sonst gibt es nichts Besonderes. Richtung Vulkan hinauf zu fahren, hätte bei solchem Wetter wenig Sinn; der Berg zeigt sich nicht. Für morgen ist die Prognose leider nicht besser. Am Nachmittag gibt es weiterhin Wind, dazu Schauer. Wir gehen nicht nochmals aus. Ich schreibe endlich das Tagebuch nach. Um auch den Blog zu aktualisieren, reicht die Energie nicht mehr.

Thank you for your response we can offer you a $50 customer service refund along with the $5 a day refund for your discomfort however the layout of all our vehicles is clearly shown on our website and while this may not meet your expectations it is the option that you have chosen and we cannot help that you have made the choice to use other accommodation whilst hiring the camper-van.

Thank you for your (small) concession of $ 50 customer service refund in addition to the $ 5 refund per day. I agree that it was my decision not to use the campervan for sleeping and cooking and to book other accommodation.

However I must, in contrary to what you claim, insist that the layout of the Roadie is not clearly shown on your website regarding standing height in the rear of the vehicle where cooking and dishwashing is done. There is no photo (view from front to rear) or other information on your website that shows this. If I had realized that fact I would not have booked this camper.

I assume that the refund of $ 145 will be credited to my credit card.

I think I will finish this unpleasant email exchange now as I have more pleasant things to do. See you on March 12th at 2 pm.

Mehr ist bei einer so miesen Firma wohl nicht herauszuholen. Also gilt: Als schlechtes Geschäft abbuchen und vergessen.
