Wow. We thought we'd go 2nd class for our next leg as it was a 5 hour train journey. Bonus of food & drink but unfortunately the air con was broken so they decided after a couple of hours to open the widows before we all melted. Train was an hour late from Bangkok & we managed to lose another hour along the way.

We arrived late into Phitsanulok so had to get a pricey tuk tuk to Sila Resort in Sukothai as the buses had finished.

The people who run this hostel are just amazing. Met a couple of people in the restaurant attached & made plans to do the historical park the next day.

Got the shared pickup truck thing to the park and then hired a bike. Spent the day riding around looking at the temples. It was bloody hot so sweated buckets during the nearly 11 mile round trip! Some of the temples were cool, was wiped out when we got back so pretty much dinner, pack & bed!!

Was a lovely day though as much preferred it over Ayutthaya. Tomorrow is a 6 hour bus journey onto Chiang Mai which we're both really looking forward to!!!
