Today we left with our driver to see the coffee plantation near Sen Monorom and coupla other places. A guy at the coffee plantation showed us around the farm, and there was bananas, dragon fruits, coffee, avocados...many different things. Then we drank coupla cups of strong Mondulkiri coffee, which is very good! We also bought 1kg of it to take home and about 100g of coffee beans for 6$ altogether. Then we firstly thought to see the Busra waterfalls 35 km away...

We just noticed today that the Elephant Valley Project in Sen Monorom, in which we'd really wanted to visit is not open on Sat-Sun!! :(( We called directly to the olace and asked whether we could come to a short visit to see the elephants today after 2pm, when we arrive there, but we couldn't 'cause they come to town already early and then are closed for the weekend. :C So we're not foong to see the elephants and can't take care of them, that is a disappointment...

The breakfast (especially the European version) was just ridicilous compared to its 5$ pricetag; two pieces of hard, dried white French bread with one piece of butter& two pieces of marmelade. A little pot of tea (with 1 teabag), or 1 cup of coffee. The Asian version had fried noodles with chicken (f.ex), cabbage, onions, and that's it. Would be worth about 2$, but certainly not 5! But that all, unless you go to Kratie for breakfast. So...we decided to go to...

Arrived to Kratie at about 16.30, so it took quite a long time after all. Straight to the port, from where the last ferry to Koh Trong left at about 1700. 1000 riel one way and it took about less than 10 mins. When we came to the shore, inmeadetly 2 moto drivers took our packbacks and took us to the Sala Koh Trong, our lodging, about 3 km from the harbour. Today we had hired ourselves a car to take us to a full day tour to the remote temple of Koh Ker and the other real jungle temple, Beng Melea for 60$ (which was a negotiated, very fair price). We left at about 10 o'clock, and the drive to Koh Ker took about 2,5-3hrs, 'cause the last bit of the road was a dirt road, not in the best of conditions. BUT then again, it depends on what you compare it to..if you compare it to the "roads" of Nepal in the Himalayas last ...
