Wow I am finally back from this adventure!.....but a bit sooner than expected.

So by the final week of camp I was 100% ready to burst out of the bubble i had been in for the past 9 weeks and it finished on a good note because i had the best cabin of the whole summer - so well behaved and just generally cute we arranged a big midnight feast for them on the last night :-)

The first day in L.A. we hired a car and drove straight to the house of the guy who owns the whole of the camp site i worked at - oh and also two magazines!...so turned out he lives in a mansion in a posh guarded area in Pacific Palisades with people like the owner of Sony music and a couple of miles away from the Beckhams! So his house was stunning and it was exactly what we all needed to recover from camp - lots of sauna's and swims and movies on the big TV. The rest of the week was spent chillaxing, lots of shopping and going on the rides at Santa Monica pier. One day we went to the theme park 6 Flags which blew my mind....the amount of rollercoasters I went on that day was incredible - I now have NO fear....one of them turned you 360 degrees in your seat whilst going round 100's of loop the loops and having fire thrown at you! Insane. One night we got free tickets to sit in the live audience of a comedy show which will be aired in about 3 months on american telly. It was filmed in Hollywood, which, by the way is a ghetto....its really dodgy!

So unfortunately my travels were cut short by guess what......tonsilitus......again!!! This makes it the 5th time in the past year - probably about time to have them out i guess :-( I felt really ill at the end of the week and it soon got really bad to the point where i knew i needed to get home and get better. I couldnt have made the other 3 girls miss out on a weeks travelling just because i was ill. As soon as i got back i went to the doctors who said what i expected - need to take medicine and REST! So it would have been such a waste of money to just be lying in a bed in america - and it has taken that long for me to feel better....only just got up the energy today to use the internet.

But I have realised it was the best thing to do for other reasons - we just moved house so i need to unpack all my stuff.....both my brothers are coming back from their journeys really soon so i can spend some time with them.....also i have some spare time and money to come see everyone who i have missed so much this summer. So hopefully you'll be seeing my face in sunny devon soon!!! And you'll be seeing me sooner in Bath - and definitely for freshers week!!

I have also realised how incredibly lucky i was to have had the experience of camp and then on top of that a week in L.A. relaxing and travelling round there!

.......anyways i'm already thinking about signing up for next summer!!!!!!

I promise to phone and text everyone just as soon as my phone decides to switch on grrr....!!!
