Well i made it all the way down under to the beautiful city of Perth. So what can i say about this place..... it's soooooooooooooo hot!! 38 degree's yesterday felt like i was melting. Thankfully the hostel dorm rooms have air con!! But despite the heat and feeling slightly under the weather (which i think is due to the heat and my body adjusting!) ive been out sight seeing. First of all i hopped on another one of those big red sight seeing buses and took a tour of the city. First stop was just outside the city in Burswood - at the Burswood Entertainment Complex, posh hotels, cafes, resturants and a casino, feeling slightly under dressed i remained on the bus!!! Very nice area though and good views on the way back towards the city. We passed the Perth mint (were they make gold) unfortunately it was closed so couldn't take a look around! We then headed for Kings park and Botanic Gardens - it is a beautiful park with amazing views and lots of shade from the sun!! After a short tour of the park it was back to the hustle and bussel of the city centre, the driver pointed out all the major shopping centres, town hall, parliament building ect as we passed by the streets. Finally stop Barrack street jetty. After a short walk around and listening to the bells ring from The swan bells tower i headed back to the hostel (luckily only 10 mins walk from the city centre). The next day i headed for the town of Fremantle - 50 minute ferry ride down the swan river. It was nice to be away from the hussel and bussel for a while, Fremantle is a very chilled out place and lovely to wonder around. After a few of hours it was back on the ferry to Perth. While been in Perth i have also visited the Museum, done some shopping and basically just chilled out!! Unfortunately i've not been able to go swimming with Dolphins as its fully booked for a week and im heading for Geraldton tomorrow. All in all Perth is a beautiful place and id love to return here when its not so hot and explore it a bit more!!
