We decided that the only way to get an idea of what was in Lisbon was to take a hop on hop off bus (a yellow one this time). A good choice I think. We had a glimpse of most of the city and stayed on the bus for a few hours. It was a bit chilly outside so a good way to explore. The city runs along the Tagus River and the old port area is where the great explorers left to conquer the world. There are a couple of bridges across the river. One resembles San Francisco...

This Santa Justa lookout tower was designed by a student of Eiffel. It's in the centre of the old city.

The Campo Pequino markets opposite our hotel. This was once a bull ring and built in 1890. We wandered around underground where there are small retail outlets and food joints.
