We started off our day wandering around in the sunshine at a couple of markets in the Old Town. I love markets and there were a few little different things there. At one stall they offered toasted crust strips that had been cooked over coals on a rotating roller. They looked yummy. The lovely old royal Prague Castle. Didn't go in - lots of pomp and ceremony at the gates. It's one of the largest Castle complexes in the world, the say, and incorporates the Vitus Cathedral.

Church of Our Lady before Tyn dominates Old Town square. It's unusual in that it's two Gothic spires are not symmetrical. They represent the masculine and feminine sides of the world. The Astronomical clock is on the left. It indicates hours, the phases of the moon, the equinoxes, the seasons and the days.
