With the wedding day still fresh in our minds it was time to go back and see our friendly travel agent, David, to book the next leg of our honeymoon.
We entered the office with certain ideas of dates and locations for our itinerary and, after a consultation lasting the best part of two hours, it proved to be a very successful morning albeit with a slightly different result to what we expected.
So what have we booked? Well having already got ourselves sorted to Asia (see previous blog posts!), we have now got our flights out of Singapore and into Delhi, India. After a month "freestyling" around India, we've also booked our flights out of India to Nairobi, Kenya. This however was merely the hors d'oeuvre of today's visit.
The main course was our overland trip through Africa. Taking in 7 countries and lasting 6 weeks from August 2012, we'll be travelling across nearly half of the continent down from Kenya to South Africa finishing in October. Highlights will include trying to spot the big five in the Serengeti, Zanzibar "Spice" Island, the Okavango Delta, sandboarding down the world's highest sand dunes, visiting Victoria Falls and finishing off in Cape Town with a visit to Table Mountain.
And keeping with the food theme, what was the dessert you may be wondering? After leaving the travel agents, we obviously popped into the pub for a drink and some lunch!! Perfect way to end the morning!
We're both so excited and can scarcely belief what's in store for us, the countdown has well and truly started!
