The night before.

So here we are, nearly a years worth of planning, electrical nightmares and about 250 leaving parties!! This is my final night in the UK before I jet off to Beijing.

I've heard plenty of stories about how little English they speak, how many parts of the World I'm visiting are poverty stricken, but still I am extatic about the prospect of travelling to places I've never visited before.

Ironically when asked what my last supper should be, I chose a Chinese takeaway (just to get me in the swing of things). I'm sure Kam Xing in Buckley is not a patch on what delights I'm going to taste, but it was a good start.

I've been overwhelmed with the amount of cards, good luck texts & leaving parties thrown on my behalf. I'd just like to thank everyone involved for everything they've done.

So the trip begins with a short flight from Manchester to Heathrow at 11am tomorrow. I then leave Heathrow at 16:45 then it's non stop to Beijing.
