Six Months Baby
We have eventually got here at last! We had a cool cabby from the airport, as he took us for a tour around darwin showing us all the pubs and clubs in the area, he some how knew us well. We got to the YHA in Darwin which even had a pool, not what we were expecting to have leisure of when we were travelling. We didnt do a great deal in Darwin except going to a crocdile farm which well good we got to feed them by hanging chicken legs over the fence, for them to jump up and eat it off the stick (have a look at the pictures). When i had agreed to feed on, he then decided to tell me that this croc could jump higher than the fence which was kind of him. Anyway i still have both of my arms which quite handy... We even got to hold a baby croc and matt even pulled it... better than most of the things they have pulled in the past (not including anna and claire of course). They also had some tiger and lions along with monkeys and birds and we saw all them get fed aswell.
Now to the drinking, the first night out got a tiny bit messy, we ended up in a bar/club called The Vic, which was good however a bit male meat market, sadly. However at the end of the night we some how got split up walking home and i ended up falling a sleep in the TV room, thinking i was going to bed, then finding my self a sleep on the floor out side our room some how with out my key, i think i somehow went into the room and then locked myself out... not much different from my norm. Oooooh did we wake up with a rather large hangover. We ended up going out 4 days out of the 7 we stayed there, one night we went to place called Discovery and Me, matt and dan came aross a large amount of glow sticks, which were cool, so we decided to turn into loony ravers dancing like there was no tomorrow rather drunk, what a sight.
On our last day we spent it at the Darwin aviation museum, it might sound a bit boring, however it did have a B52 i think it is the only one out side of the US. What a plane, it was huge, and no it is not a cocktail. It is still being used in Iraq, not this plane of course and really that was it for Darwin. However i do have to mention the staff at the Darwin YHA: Jackie 'ROCKY' Brown, George and the rest some how we got the nick name of GIRLS, if anyone would like to second that please leave a message. Cheers YHA staff you lot were cool.
see you in Melbourne Jackie
