Six Months Baby
Well our last stop in OZ land. I cant believe the 2 and a half have passed, it has gone so quick, maybe because we have had so much funny. Why is that? thats so unfair.
Anyway, after our two other stop offs in sydney we eventually got to stay in Sydney for more that a day. We booked in at the famous Wake Up! where it seemed everyone who had been to sydney stayed there, so we gave it a try. After a couple of days we set off for the Sydney Harbour, and let me tell you it looks so much better in really life than it does on TV or postcards. It must be one of the breathtaking views so far. We started off have a walk along the Harbour Bridge, until we got to the pylons, which you could walk up. It also had a small museum about the history of the Bridge and stuff. But once we got to the top, i was lost for words, looking over the city sky line, Opera House, the rest of the bridge and the rest of the whole city. After that we made our way across the Bridge and had a walk down to the river bank, well look at the picture, what can i say. Over to the Opera House, on the way over there these asian girls came over to us and asked for a photo of us 3, celebrities ay. We had a walk around the opera house over looking the bridge, then had a walk in Biotanical Gardens which was quite relaxing.
Well i think we have all been looking forward to that since we booked our travels and it didnt let us down.
Our first nocturnal activities in Sydney was with Mikey and Heather, (fraser island crew) which was good to see them again. Well the first night went pretty well, went to quite a few bar around the lovely Kings Cross and then back to George Street, another drunken mess you could say, wasnt it Mikey who ended up in a gutter and Matt got hit on by a gay bloke, he was pinching his arse and all.
Our first tourist activity was a visit to the Blue Mountains just out side the city. On the way we stopped off at the Olympic Park and got to see the Stadium, however we went back a few days later but i will get back to that. We eventually got to the National Park, and got to see some wild Kangaroos, who where just lazing around soaking up the sun. The it was off to the Blue Mountain Range, just up the road. The Blue Mountains were quality, just over looking miles and miles of mountains and forest, if you are thinking why they are called the Blue Mountains well... you will have to look on the Internet coz i cant remember, nah its because the eucalyptus trees give of this gas which mixes with the air which forms a blue mist which sits over the forest. Once we finished our walk it was off to the Three Sisters. The three sisters was pretty amazing, a rock formations that was made up of three rock stacks, and was name by the aboriginals, however that is another long story. We then walked down the face of the clift and then got on this coal train up the face to the top, the steepest rail line in the world at an angle of 52 degrees and then it was off home all feeling rather tired.
The next activity was visiting the olympic park, or now know as the Telstar Stadium, yes where England won the Rugby World Cup. Luckly we made it for the last tour of the day. We got to see everything, the members lounge, directors boxes, press boxes, where Sir Clive sat when we won it, the changing rooms and we even sat in Johnny's seat. So amazing. Sadly we were not aloud on the picture to recreate the moment of Johnny but we did keep saying it to the Tour guide. We also had a walk around the seating area and it was beatuiful, one of the best thing we have done in OZ but i am a bit of a stadium nut so, yes i know im weird. After our tour we had a walk around the rest of the park, looking at the torch and the medal winners. Previously we had seen the Olympic flame being carried down George Street, Sydney, then we saw where it ended up. cool.
Oh dont think i forgotten the drunkeness, one night we ended up in Bondi, drinking scooners of Wine, going to a club no one knows the name of and lost Mikey. Another night we went to Darling Harbour, then ended up of queer street, Oxford Street, however we did go to straight club, i know what you are thinking, again another good night. A good thing came out of that, a friend of Heathers invited us to say with her for the rest of our time in Sydney, without pay cool, thanks again, morgan. It was a hotel and looked quality.
Well that brings our time in Oz to a end, all feeling quite sad really after two and a half months, we have met some really good people, visited some amazing places. Thank you all.
