Guess what... I´m sick. There is some kind of a virus going around school and the girl living with the same family as me has been sick for a while. I might just be having altitude sickness or I have caught the virus. The coordinator at school has been so sweet and made sure we are taken care of. She borrowed me her laptop and she is a fan of The mighty boosh, so I'm surviving. There is not much to do when your'e sick in someone elses house. The family I live with does not have a livingroom just a kitchen so there's not much place to just relax in. I hope I feel better tomorrow, so frustrating to just lie in a bed and not being able to do anything. Yesterday was a good day. I had lessons in the morning at 8 and on Tusdays the teachers takes us on a little trip`. We went to this little place outside Xela on a chickenbus and looked at this beautiful little church. We visited some men weaving the faboules fabric that the women wear as part of their traditional outfit. Mum you would have been inpressed with the speed and the result of their handcraft. We also went to visit this place where they brew a liguor made of fruits. on the way back or busdriver gets out and starts a fight with some guy that tried to rob another bus, my first fight... I have realides that it's great being tall when riding the bus here. I don't have to hold on to anything because my legs are so jammed between the seats anyway. Just a stupid fact: the average age of the women in guatemala is 1. 55 meters I'm 1.78m. later that night we learned how to make pampoosas in school. this lovely tortilla breads with cheese and filled with cabbage and salsa. i ate way too many. A German girl left today so we also went out for a drink that night. Got to try some nice local beer. I really hope I feel better tomorrow, I really hate being sick and being alone. Wish Joey was here taking care of me and feeding me with Ribena and toast. I'm really excited about feeling better and start working with the volonteer work for real. there are so many great projects going on the school. The kids are adorable and very loveseeking. they would love to stay and learn all day if they could. 'm very happy about the family and shool I ended up in and I think I'm going to have a great time when I start feeling like myself and the spanish comes along. Mamma och Pappa oroa er inte alla tar hand om mig har och jag forsoker hora av mig i helgen. Forsok att logga in pa skype om ni kan. Kram allihopa!
