Hi Everone!
Have now arrived at my first destination, Xela. I'm jetlagged and tired as hell but excited and happy. Flew to Madrid on Friday in the big storm, worst flight of my life. Met an artist from Denmark that was originally from Panama. Nice at first but turned out be a little bit freaky, those damn Danes. Had a good night sleep in a hotel and then a loong flight of 12 hours to Guate City. I was picked up by a lovely man that let me stay in his house with his wife and daughters. This is when my struggle started, where did my Spanish go? Thought I was ok but it turns out I'm pretty useless. Went by bus this morning to Xela and I realised that I'm a giant in this counrty. There was no rest for my head because I'm too tall. Beatiful surroundings, big mountains andlovely colours. Met my family and had some lunch. They are a pretty young coulpe with a four year old son and a daughter of 10 months. My room is very basic, a bed, a blanket and a desk. I'm so glad I bought that sleepingbag. it's freezing now in the middle of the day. The houses are so shut, no windows that lets in any daylight and no heating. Outside in the sun it's a very comfortable temperature of 20-23 degrees. Starting my school tomorrow which is great, I hope I get to meet some cool people. Will try to get a mobile during the week so I can text my beloved ones. Miss you guysalrea, feels like I've been here for much longer. I hope your all well and was not too worried about me. Talk to you soon when I have something mcuch more interesting to write about. Pus och Kram Marta
