Planning is well underway for our next India adventure. Living in Jaisalmer, in Rajasthan for 5 months. Flights are purchased, travel insurance arranged and the "to do" list is on the fridge. We leave on 10 October so it is only 10 weeks away. Why are we going for such an extended time, is a question we are often asked. We can't properly explain that, except to say we love it and why not! We watched the final episode of Joanna Lumley in India last night and she really really summed it up. "You must come to India, you are mad if you don't". For us, it is the color, the faces, the festivals, the forts, the landscapes, the wildlife and the pure excitement of it all. We have made some wonderful friends in Jaisalmer, who include us in their lives with invitations to weddings and celebrations and help us if we need them. They are always there for us. We respect them and feel it is mutual. At the moment they are all looking out for a "house" for us. Our ideal will be a place with not too many stairs, a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living as well as a rooftop and hopefully windows with a view. Nothing grand but a place to make our own for the time we are there. We are excited that Kellie is joining us for a few weeks in January, in time for the Desert Festival. We know there are others making plans and we are looking forward to sharing this magical place with others as well. Who knows Matthew might even make it.
