Saturday 23rd May- We left Carole and Antony on Monday morning and caught the local bus into Christchurch and got to our hostel early afternoon. That afternoon we had a wander around town and we went for a roast dinner at a pub that Antony had reccommended. Wednesday 13th May- It rained the whole time we were in Dunedin, but we still managed to do some great things. We spent some time in STA and managed to eventually decide on a 4 day Kruger safari, and it had a bit of a discount on it too which was good. Tuesday 5th May- We eventually got to do our heli-hike on Friday morning. We went to the office at 10.15 and the weather was sunny with blue skies. We headed to a little hut over the road to get changed into our gear- big boots and socks, gloves and a jacket. We were split into 4 groups of 6 and got helicopters up to the top of the glacier- we got some good views out of the window. Sunday 26th April- On Monday we couldn't do what we'd planned because of the rain so we just had a wander into town. On Tuesday we headed to Taupo. There were only 10 of us on the bus and the driver was a funny guy so it was good fun. On the journey we had a few stops, the first being at Wai-O-Tapu where we saw a hot bubbling mud pool. Saturday 11th April- We got up at 6am on Tuesday and got a taxi to the airport. The plane we got was fairly empty. We got to Auckland arpund lunchtime. The immigration asked us the most questions we've been asked so far about what we do and how we are funding our trip, but eventually she let us in. It's quite cold here and rains a lot.
