Tuesday 9th June- In Jeffreys Bay we didn't do a lot except go into town for lunch and admire or view of the beach. At night we ate at the hostels bar and had a braai (BBQ) with pap and sauce, it was OK. We moved on to Knysna on Sunday. It was a nice little place, but again, not much to do. Tuesday 2nd June- On Friday we got up at 2.30am and got a shuttle bus to the airport. We had about a 3 hour flight to Sydney, a 2-3 hour break, and then a 14 hour flight to Johannesburg. The flights went smoothly and on the first one we had lots of leg room, but the second one was very long and a bit more cramped, but we watched a lot of films and tv. Saturday 23rd May- We left Carole and Antony on Monday morning and caught the local bus into Christchurch and got to our hostel early afternoon. That afternoon we had a wander around town and we went for a roast dinner at a pub that Antony had reccommended. Wednesday 13th May- It rained the whole time we were in Dunedin, but we still managed to do some great things. We spent some time in STA and managed to eventually decide on a 4 day Kruger safari, and it had a bit of a discount on it too which was good. Tuesday 5th May- We eventually got to do our heli-hike on Friday morning. We went to the office at 10.15 and the weather was sunny with blue skies. We headed to a little hut over the road to get changed into our gear- big boots and socks, gloves and a jacket. We were split into 4 groups of 6 and got helicopters up to the top of the glacier- we got some good views out of the window.
