Sunday 26th April- On Monday we couldn't do what we'd planned because of the rain so we just had a wander into town. On Tuesday we headed to Taupo. Saturday 11th April- We got up at 6am on Tuesday and got a taxi to the airport. The plane we got was fairly empty. We got to Auckland arpund lunchtime. The immigration asked us the most questions we've been asked so far about what we do and how we are funding our trip, but eventually she let us in. It's quite cold here and rains a lot. Monday 30th March- Last Thursday we went to the Botanic Gardens. We bought a small picnic on the way there. It was a nice sunny day and we ate our food on a bench, attracting a lot of big scary birds and cockatoos. We walked around the gardens and it took a long time as it was very big with lots of different sections. Wednesday 18th March- Last Wednesday we did a tour of the Great Ocean Road. We were picked up at 7.20am and taken to the mini-bus. We left at 8am and travelled for just over an hour to Torquay. The driver told us a lot about the area and the history on the way. Our first stop was at Bells Beach. It is a famous surf beach and is also in a film (that we can't remember now). Friday 27th February- Last Saturday we had a lazy day and just chilled out. At night we decided to go to the Woolshed for the $10 meal deal. When we got there there was a big queue so we weren't sure whether to go in or not. We eventually queued up and went in, and it was actually a pretty cool place.
