Things I've noticed on the streets of Spain:
(Tried to have pictures too but it failed)
1. Sweet strappy sandals that usually wrapy around the ankles: Just started seeing them in stores in the US...here, they are EVERYWHERE!
2. Parachute/Jasmine/MC Hammer Pants: not my favorite, but a favorite of many Europeans
3. Tiny dogs: self-explanatory
4. Crazy prints/flashback to the 80's and 90's
5. I don't know how else to describe them except saggy butt jeans!
6. PDA and romance :) Everyone holds hands, links arms, or kisses and hugs. Even the greeting is two "besos" (a kiss on each cheek)...so precious!
More from the streets of Spain to come. In the meantime, I started school this week and I've been enjoying my classes thus far. Today in my Civilization and Culture class, I actually learned something:
Quebec is technically a part of Latin America. The term Latin America refers to all countries colonized or conquered by a country that is of Latin descent. Iberoamerica refers to countries colonized by mother countries on the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal). Hispanoamerica refers to all countries colonized by Spain. Therefore, saying Latin America when referring to Mexico and the countries below it is not accurate. Hooray for fun facts!
