Either words I used in the blog post or words I used today that I had forgotten over the summer.
1. Piso: apartment
2. Habitacion: bedroom
3. Chorizo: sausage
4. Jamon: ham
5. Cebolla: onion
6. Cuchillo: knife
7. Cuchara: spoon
8. Tenedor: fork
9. Servilleta: napkin
10. Vaso: glass
11. Melocoton: peach
12. Gordar: to get fat
13. Refresco: soda
14. Cafe con leche: coffe with milk
15. Hermano: brother
Things I learned today:
1. Nod, smile, and say "si" when you have no idea what's going on. Learn the art of speaking with your hands.
2. Don't eat the airplane meat.
3. When ordering a refresco in a restaurant, you must specify one of the following types: limon, naranja, or Coca-cola
4. You can take a decent shower in under 5 minutes.
5. You also can fit your life in two 50 pound bags and two carry-on bags.
6. Madrid and the surrounding area looks a lot like Arizona oddly enough.
7. My name is hard for foreigners to pronounce.
8. Take the unexpected and roll with it!
