It was an all day drive to get from Exmouth to Tom Price which is the town before Karrijini national park. We had quite a good run until 20km outside Tom Price. We had decided to take the unsealed road to Tom Price as it was a lot shorter, it may have been shorter but it was definitely longer as our back tire burst and was completely annihilated, Rog took some pics I'll have to hassle himfor them. Spare tire on and we set off again, 10 minutes later Hayley and Luke stopped us as we had a puncture this time it was the other rear tire, rog's spare wouldn't fit our van so we had to crawl into Tom Price and the nearest garage for tires, 3 of them. We were lucky and got there with about 5 minutes before they closed.
Once we were all sorted with 3 new shoes for our van it was all more than enough excitement for one day so did the usual campsite crawl and went to bed.
We woke up and packed up to head for Karrijini national park, been quite a few of these now. Much the same as Kalbarri Park huge gorges and a waterfall or two. The 2hr gorge walk was good we didn't swim in the pools of the waterfall but it was in all a good day.
We spent that night at the Park which is where we had our first encounter with dingos!! When it was close to duck the howls started and came from all around us. We were told not to leave anything outside of the vans or tents as the dingos would have them away, the rubbish bin went up a tree that night! Dingos look exactly like a normal dog just ginger with bushy talis… I wonder if the stick they get is actually deserved…..
