We had been to Hervey Bay before last year but wanted to come back and have a look around as we didn't before.

This is the place to come if you are going to Fraser Island. We had toyed with the idea of going across but had heard mixed reviews about it, majority being that if you're in a big group, have your own 4x4 it's great but otherwise it's expensive for what's it's worth (going to an island with sand dunes and a lake)so with money on our mind(as usual) we didn't go but we've got pretty bored of beaches and to be honest things are beginning to look the same now, all very nice but nothing special. Also, the weather is getting colder and rainy again thanks to the fact that it's winter.

We spent a few days here, checking out the harbor where we saw some dolphins which is always pleasing, wandering along the beach and generally relaxing and Steve beating me at back gammon, again!!!
