Before i begin the picture for this blog is nothing like what we found in Langkawi but i haven't uploaded the pics yet so bare with me...
The speed boat from Koh Lipe to Langkawi in Malaysia only took us an hour, and it was goodbye Thailand, (a tear falls down my cheek as i write that) and hello to Malaysia which now has alot to live up to.
We headed for Pantai Cenang the main area for accomodation etc, around here is where we also plan to meet back up with Roger whose been living it up in Phucket (his stories of wild nights and birthday celebrations are to come soon so keep checking!)
With not alot going on around Pantai Cenang as it's out of season now we decided to rent a car for a few days and go explore. the first day we ended up in Kuah the main city of Langkawi, had a wander around the shops, and may i add duty free my arse!!! Take the tax off then wack the price up, i don't get it!?!?! Enough of scratching our heads at how they can charge 65 quid for a 1GB memory card we made a move for the bowling alley. Steve and Roger were constantly battling for 1st position the stirkes we coming thick and fast, i managed a few, well i had to prove i could.
On the other days with the car we found a few nice beaches nothing to rival those in Thailand but a beach and sunshine is always good stuff.
One of Langkawi's main attractions is the cable cars, so we all got up early and headed off to see the sights, get it!! LOL! The boys, Steve, Roger and Mike all turned out to be complete girls and scared of heights and turned the air blue for the whole journey up and were thoroughly relieved when it stopped and they could get off. The views were amazing well worth the so called near death experience they thought they were going through.
The afternoon was spent at a waterfall that we seemed to turn into waterpark sliding down the slope of cascading water, there's a video of this if i ever get to figure it out.
We found out that the Malaysian GP was taking place on 3-5 April in Kualur Lumpur and tickets were only 20quid to attend both the qualifying and the race and also a Jamirquia concert was thrown in for good measure so all the plans changed and we booked a ticket to KL and off to the GP we go!!!
After almost 2 months with our travel buddies Mike and Casey it was finally time to say our goodbyes. We all flew to KL together and said our farewells with the hope that they'll be flying back to see us in OZ in the near future!!! You know you want to!!!!!!
