In total we've spent 4 weeks in Palolem and even then it was hard to tear ourselves away from the beach, people, fantastic food and cheap booze!!
I had a lovely relaxing birthday, Steve and I treated ourselves to a lobster dinner which came to 950rupees each which is about 11 quid and an opportunity not to be missed considering how much you pay back home, it took bloody ages to eat and is really an experince in itself!
We had a very interesting experience at a silent disco where everyone wears headphones, quite strange to see everyone dancing but not being able to hear any music just the shuffling of feet and the odd whoop whoop now and then...
I think we're now used to the sight of cows everywhere you can't avoid them they are everywhere, on the beach, next to a restaurant, next to the road on the road, in a ditch. One thing that is a little hard to get used to is the amount of attention we get from the Indian people, there is alot ot staring and they'll take pictures/ videos of you as you walk past not a great feeling but one that we'll have to deal with.
Off on a 10hr night bus to Hampi for a few days there's a festival going on when we get there so another 1st time experince for us......
