Woke up to a grey overcast day, which is typical for where we are, we had breakfast and then proceeded to make our way to Hyde Park and hire some bikes to take a
leisurely ride around the place. All was going well until Larry decided to take a different direction then our pack of 4 became 3 people riding to the Diana Memorial. The park is very big and beautiful especially as it is Autumn, and the colour changes in the trees are really special. After the visit to the memorial we decided to look for our lost traveller and finally found him on his way to Buckingham Palace which was to be our next stop.
We took the usual photos out the front of the Palace and I must stay the pictures on the television do not do it justice, it is truly impressive, saw the guards and made our way around to the side gate to enter the Palace for a tour. We chose the state room tour and we're not allowed to take photos, but it was beautiful, very grand and ornate, as you would expect. The gounds if the palace are very pretty and well manicured. If it was Spring the colour would have been amazing.
After the tour we stopped for a quick bite and then made our way to Westminster Abbey, Parliament and Big Ben. The whole area is very beautiful and we have never seen anything quite like it in regards to the scale of the buildings, and it is the perfect place to take some great photos. We were lucky enough to hear Big Ben chime.
We walked over Thames River and watched some street gamblers make their living by ripping people off, only to find they soon disappear once the Police start walking around. We then headed back to the hotel to get ready for a Jersey Boys stage show at West End.
After a couple of hours of R&R we caught a cab to West End which is one of London's premier entertainment districts. We went to Grace Bar for dinner and a couple of drinks before heading to the Piccadilly Theatre to see Jersey Boys. It was Donna's second time seeing the show and Steve's first. The show was fantastic with amazing performers, and to see a show at London's West End was a tick off the bucket list.
We caught a cab back to the hotel to check on the washing we had hung around the room (saving us at least $100), and then headed off to bed. Tomorrow we will jump on the Hop on Hop off bus and take in more of the sights.

Libby Willis Are you going to go on the London Eye? Really enjoyed that. The hop on hop off bus was the best thing ever&such good value for money. It was also the best way to see all the sights in the pouring rain without getting wet - it rained non stop fot the entire 6 days I was there
